Spooky Week Day 2- Ghoulish Ghosties

Welcome back fellow origami enthusiasts! Today we will be making ghosts! I know in the title it says 'Ghoulish Ghosties' but they don't have to be scary, as you will see, mine is definitely not!

You will need; a sheet of origami paper. You will probably want some white paper but if you want a funky ghost, then feel free to use any colour that you wish!

Let the fun start!

1. Fold the paper in half along the diagonal like in the picture and open it up again.

2. Fold the edges into the center line that you just made so you get an ice cream cone shape with a triangle on top.

3. Turn the paper upside down and fold the edges into the center

4. This is the tricky part. Hold a pencil on the fattest part of the diamond shape and with your other hand, open the folds that you just made in the previous step. With your free hand, lift the side next to the number 1 so it meets the center line. When it meets, push your hand upwards and once it starts the look like the bottom part of the third picture, try and line up the edges so it looks neat.

5. Do the same with the other side.

6. Flip the paper so the back faces you. Fold the sides into the center.

7. Flip the paper back so the back faces the front and fold down the corners to make the ghosts hands.

8. Fold the longer half of the diamond at an angle backwards to form the ghosts tail.

9. Repeat step 8 with the end of the tail.

10. Fold the top backwards to make the ghost's head rounder and less pointy.

11. Finally, draw a smiley face!

Well done, I hope that you enjoyed making the ghost! If you want, please send me a picture of your ghostie by the email or Google Plus, I would love to see it!

Come back tomorrow for more! Tomorrow, we will be making Creepy Cats!
See you all tomorrow! :)
